The Depression Platform is meant to promote self-management in order to empower the older adults to fully participate in the management of his or her health and also a tool to monitor the symptoms and moods for individuals.

The Depression Platform:

  • is designed to be a tool that will put in contact various parties such as doctors, patients, regular people that want to check their status, researchers that will gain access to relevant data to help understand better the mechanisms of mental diseases, friends and families of people affected by mental illness with the main objective to facilitate the flow of information and support where it is needed.
  • will become a channel of mass information regarding incidence of depression, risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early diagnostic, treatment options.
  • will put a real effort in reducing the stigma effect over individuals affected by this kind of diseases and create an open-minded, supporting mentality.
