easyTRIP - Support, Advise and Motivate elderly people on active mobility
Easy TRIP project will offer a service integrated framework to support, advise and motivate elder people on travelling. To achieve it, easyTRIP framework will:
· get information from different sources (external and/or internal)
· contextualize the information obtained (based on different criteria like geolocation, accessibility, wellness) and
· combine the information through matching techniques (between the information and services topics, and the user context) in order to offer and personalized different services to the end user,
There are several types of services on mind for this project, but mainly there are context aware services (geolocation and wellness services), tour planning services and "experiences sharing" services. The "experiences sharing" services will let users share information about their travelling experiences, and will work as motivators for other people in similar contexts (age, health situation, etc.) to travel.
From the user interface and user experience, the project will work on innovative interface focused on accessibility, new multimodal interfaces (voice, sensors, etc.), etc. having always on mind the end user capabilities. To achieve it, there will be trials and user testing activities during development phase in order to get the right user experience from the final project result.
Finally, for project research validation, there will be some pilots focused on two or three travel scenarios. Initially, we have considered why most elder people would travel: to visit their family, for pleasure and to visit their medical or social services. So, the services offered by the platform, will be focused on covered the validation scenarios proposed.
