SmartDomotic is a company based in France specialized in voice commands applied to home automation. Our goal is to develop a voice triggered interface to control electrical and multimedia home appliances. The voice commands will also enable the user to request information and communicate through the internet. Therefore the users will be able to easily and intuitively get used to new technologies essential to their autonomy in a “self-served” society.
To be efficient, automatic speech recognition requires three conditions :
· High quality microphone
· Relatively quiet environment
· User’s voice prior input in the computer
These three condition could be met at home.
Operationing
A principal computer controls all domotic appliances . The principal computer AI enables the user to make himself understood without prior specific order list learning. One or more high quality (wired or wireless) microphones are linked to the principal computer. For a most efficient set-up every main room should be endowed with an array microphone.
· Home Automation (xPL, PLCBus, X10, ZigBee, etc... )
· Computer science ( Software development, Chatterbot, Text-to-Speak, Automatic speech recognition)
Partners Sought
In order to complete our prototype we seek for :
· A partner in mastering ZigBee to create an audio transceiver ;
· A partner representing end users organisation to test the prototype ;
· A university working on Text-to-Speak and speech recognition engines.
