We are looking for the following organisations: Research institution, SME, Large Enterprise, End user organisation, Evaluation (trials) specialist organisation

Action type: Development, Testing / Trials, Service innovation, Public health

There are several important indicators of clinical relevance which are of particular importance for elderly people. One example is urinary tract infections which are almost chronic. It would be of great advantage for a patient and the a huge cost benefit for the health care system if these commonly appearing “diseases” could be monitored at home and the alerts transmitted to a relevant center. Examples of the needs include, but are not limited to: (i) wounds/bedsores; (ii) incontinence; (iii) urinary tract infections; (iv) various heart condition(s); (v) sugar levels (via breath or sweat. This is applicable only to a certain kinds of diabetes); (vi) falls Please suggest your own application. The project will include (i) sensor development and evaluation (ii) near sensor electronics for data collection, analysis and handling, eg., signal processing (iii) local data transfer (iv) local node to central node transfer (v) development of all necessary software (vi) system integration (vii) evaluation in a “real life” environment We think that the coordinator should be an “End user”, national healthcare representative, “large enterprise” representative or “Evaluation specialist”.
