Similar assisistive features can be built into cubboards, cabinets, tables, chairs, sofas, bookshelves, home appliances, and floors, etc. The intelligent features and functions will assist independent living by helping to find things, to reach for things, to move things, to store things, to remind about events, to monitor usage, increase safety, and to interface to service providers etc.
