Our goal is to ensure peace of mind for families, care workers and clinicians who care for elderly people living alone. Through the use of sensors and the private social network aaaida, we reduce the cost of caring whilst increasing the quality of life of the independent elderly.
Elderly people today are living longer and many desire to retain their independent freedom and to live autonomously in their own homes, rather than go into care where they may experience a loss of freedom. This situation creates a problem for their families who need to know that their elderly relative is fit and well without appearing excessively intrusive. We have created a unique and innovative way of ensuring the elderly are unobtrusively monitored through provision of sensor information, invisible to their daily life, to a social network of family members, friends, caregivers and clinicians who are associated with an elderly person, giving them the peace of mind that all is well with their elderly relative.
The aaaida network is capable of storing large volumes of information. This information is generated by sensors and objects of a network based on Internet of the Things that is aligned with the recommendations and proposals for the future internet. On the other hand the social network aaaida offers data intelligent management using data mining processes based on artificial intelligence, machine learning and statistics.
In summary, a sensor will quickly provide a huge amount of information about the daily life of an elderly person. The network aaaida, gives this information a real value to ensure the peace of mind for families, care workers and clinicians who care for elderly people living alone.
