ERI POLIBIENESTAR of the University of Valencia is a research centre belonging to the University of Valencia and it is a referring group in Spain and in the Region of Valencia. ERI POLIBIENESTAR is integrated by different professionals with important R&D expertise including sociologist, psychologists, doctors and lawyers, among others. Nowadays, its main line of research is focused on studies and R+D projects on social and health care to support the elder and disabled people. ERI POLIBIENESTAR has been compiling ample know-how demonstrated in: • dependency issues; • health and social care; • health psychology; • bioethics principles; • efficiency and innovation on social and health resources; • population ageing; • social policy systems; • new management and funding models for social and health policies; • social sustainability: new strategies for health and social care welfare quality, and • methodology for case management. ERI POLIBIENESTAR participates in several European projects (VII Framework Programme), most of them regarding disability and ageing, and participates and coordinates some national projects funded by the government of Spain, evaluating the adequacy of new policies, services and technology for disabled people, and their impact in quality of life of the older people. Among others, Polibienestar participates as a project partner, in INTERLINKS, Health systems and long-term care for older people in Europe, during 2008 – 2011, funded under 7th Framework Programme, Research Area: HEALTH-2007-3.2-2 Health systems and long term care of the elderly. ERI POLIBIENESTAR has coordinated the LivingAll project (www.livingall.eu) funded by the VI Framework Programme of the European Commission, the aim of the LivingAll project was to support free movement and equal opportunities for disabled people. HOW CAN WE CONTRIBUTE AS A PROJECT PARTNER Our researchers are experts in different subjects as social policies related with older people, disabled people and gender equality and mainstreaming. Polibienestar has wide experience in design of general welfare policies. Specifically we have experience in: -Policies comparison. -Proposal of good practices. -Generate appropriate policies to specific contexts -Training in different social areas. In this context, Polibienestar can develop the following tasks: Design of methodologies for the collection of information, establishment of criterion, evaluation of good practices and organitation of advisory committees or public consultations. Organizing and carrying out activities of dissemination.
