Innovaciones Sociosanitarias (ISS) is a professional consultant firm with central office in Valencia (SPAIN) which is specialised in the development and design of the services required to provide expert assistance and care to dependent persons (Chronic, disabled patients, etc.) and their caregivers. ISS has assessed for developing services innovative systems for dependent people (disabled and elderly) in different national or European projects. In addition to this, ISS has expertise in consultancy until the turn key delivery of residences and sheltered houses for elderly people. ISS has the capacity and expertise for the assessment and validation of Assistive technology and impact of the service developed, and the knowledge to review and analyse the state of the art regarding Assistive Technology and Ageing. ISS is integrated by different professionals with important R&D expertise. ISS assess companies which are interested in develop innovative systems and services (nursing homes, sheltered houses, etc.) for dependent people (elderly, disabled. etc). So, it has directly related with end users of the assistive technology for the elderly and disabled. ISS can provide the expertise and capacity to assess its usability, adequacy, and impact at the level of the European standards, being close to the end users. European Projects implemented by ISS, among others: 1. 2009 – 2012 AMICA (ongoing) – Autonomy, Motivation and Individual Self-management for COPD patients – Funded by the European Commissione under the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme – AAL.
