PEXEGO focuses its activities in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The company specializes in comprehensive management solutions for online training and multimedia content.
The objective is to satisfy the educational and informative needs of the customer, whether they are of a pedagogical, organizational or promotional character. The company also develops custom-made applications for enterprises, mainly online, as well as industrial and process simulation software.

Ad hoc applications for enterprises including programming applications (mainly online) for enterprises with diverse uses such as management, localization, e-commerce, cataloguing, ERP, advertising, etc. Open source software consultancy is also offered to companies looking for optimal solutions for improvements in management, commerce and for training purposes.

PEXEGO develops multimedia applets for advertising, electronic commerce (e-commerce and e-business), cataloguing and educational purposes in highly visual and interactive environments.
Online / offline industrial and process simulators
These include complex simulations of complete productive processes (mostly online) of real environments. This harnesses the added value benefits of simulation as a learning resource. Other simulations include social simulators and marketing simulators.
Competences
Human resources
PEXEGO is a spin-off company from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). It stems from the entrepreneurial motivation of a multidisciplinary team of professionals in fields as diverse as computing, pedagogy and graphics design. PEXEGOʼs team is composed of analysts, programmers, pedagogues and specialists in graphic animation and design. PEXEGO has regular collaboration with illustrators and translators.
Technical and material resources
PEXEGO uses the following techniques / methodologies and equipment:
- Proprietary Data Center, allowing dimensioning, management and maintenance of platforms as well as hosting of the HW and SW systems needed to provide the different services. This minimizes the required investment for clients. There are also three external servers in the Data Center for the implementation of online projects.
The companyʼs main technological consideration is the massive integration of ICT Technologies in the automation of processes, specifically in those that constitute the core of internet development.

Python technologies and JAVA (JSP, AJAX...) are mostly applied in the construction of Human Machine Interface elements.

R&D&I Activity Lines
Completed projects and results
PEXEGO has completed various R&D projects including:

Online education for hospitalized children. This novel project was focused on facilitating the means of reinforcing and continuing the studies of young patients suffering long-term hospitalization. This was a collaborative venture with the University of Santiago de Compostela and Fujitsu.

“NEXUS REDE”. “Nexus Rede” was an innovative and experimental initiative towards the adaptability of the social economy and its economic surrounds. PEXEGO carried out diverse tasks within the area under the heading of “Working people adaptability”, in the cooperative e-learning activities, developing e-courses specializing in social skills acquisition for cooperatives and social economy companies.
Present developments
Currently, PEXEGO is developing several projects including:

MPV Dairy Simulator (Modular and Portable Virtual Dairy Simulator). Leonardo Project being developed by a consortium of European partners. The project aims to contribute to the development and improvement of competitiveness of the European Dairy Industry through improvements in human resources skills.

R&D project in collaboration with Official Metrology Laboratory of Galicia (LOMG), focusing on the development of simulation and online training activities.

Traceability Project for Agrofood industries, part of the Galician R&D plan.

Development of Open ERP modules, published as complete work. Project presented at the first Open ERP Spanish Conferences.
